Kids Bounce Around at Jumper’s Jungle Indoor Playground in Bixby Knolls

A mere two years ago there were nearly no indoor playgrounds in Long Beach, now they seem to be popping up all over. The latest to join the fray is indoor bounce house spot: Jumper’s Jungle in Bixby Knolls.

Just $10 for entry per kid (2 and under are $7) and no charge for adults (and some great deals on monthly passes), plus the ability to leave and come back make it one of the better deals for indoor play spaces in Long Beach.

I’ll get to the play in a moment, I want to take a second to talk about the absolute abundance of seating here, including MASSAGE CHAIRS for adults. Seriously. They cost a couple bucks, but whoever thought of this was a pure genius.

You can also bring your own food to Jumper’s Jungle, so long as you keep it at the tables. If you’ve been to an indoor playground a time or two, you know this is practically unheard of.

The indoor play and bounce houses

At Jumper’s Jungle, you’ll find four big bounce houses, a giant ball pit, and a central bazooka ball arena battle area. The bounces houses are fairly standard, but clean and super fun for kids to burn off some energy on a rainy day in Long Beach. Or any day you’re looking for some indoor activities for kids.

Bazooka Ball Arena

“Bazooka ball arena??” you ask? Yep. It’s a central area with these air guns that shoot soft foam balls and is a wild child’s dream come true. There’s lots of inflatable obstacles to hide behind, and the area is completely enclosed.

The blasters are a bit loud though, if your kiddo is more sensitive they may have a tough time. I’d recommend this part of Jumper’s Jungle to kids 5 or 6 and up, for sure. The rest of the space is great for toddlers, but not this area.

Birthday Parties

One thing that really stands out at Jumper’s Jungle are their birthday party areas for an indoor playground in Long Beach. It’s probably one of the best spots to get a pretty good deal while having lots of flexibility for a birthday party at an indoor play space.

First of all, there’s so much seating and tons of tables. There’s room for a pretty decent sized birthday party. Plus they only do two parties at a time and each party gets their half of the play space at Jumper’s Jungle private just for them. (The bazooka ball arena is open at alternating times for each party if there are two parties at the same time.)

You can bring your own food and drink and party prices are really quite reasonable, comparatively. For a 2 hour party, up to 20 kids is $350 for weekdays and $400 for Fridays and weekends. Each additional kid is another $10.

They also have a bigger package for up to 30 kids that includes pizza and ranges from $450-$500 for the two hours.

What to know about Jumper's Jungle

All in all it’s a pretty good play space, lots more room than The BounceP Place at Lakewood Mall, but less activities than Red Ball Fun Zone or Kidz Town. I think the great prices (be sure to check out their passes), and the fact that you can bring in your own snacks and food during open play are some of the key factors I like about Jumper’s Jungle. That and the great birthday party spaces.

Jumper’s Jungle Prices:

$10 per 3 and up, $7 per kid 2 and under, no charge for adults

Passes are $35 for a monthly pass (as many times as you want during a month) or $250 for an annual pass. You could also do a 10 visit pass for $75.
