Here’s an idea for a free night of entertainment in between all the running and shopping you have to do to get ready for Christmas: take a night off with the fam and check out the holiday light displays in Long Beach and (relatively) nearby cities.
Activities Throughout the Holiday Season
The LA Kings' Holiday Ice returns to The Pike Outlets again with a temporary ice skating rink installed from Nov 16 until Jan 6, 2019. Tickets prices range from $10 for kids 6 and under, to anywhere from $12–$17 for kids and adults 7 and up. Prices include your skate rental too.
The Queen Mary has bid farewell to it's ice-themed event, Chill, and hello to a nostalgic themed Queen Mary Christmas.
Stroll the beautiful decks of the legendary ship as you are surrounded by twinkling lights, holiday musical performances, sweet treats, family activities, and more.
The Queen Mary will truly be decked out in her holiday best. And, of course outdoor ice skating on the ship and visits (or breakfasts!) with Santa.
General admission prices for ages 12 and up start at $21, and $15 for kids 4–11 years old. Other packages available that include photos with Santa, Ice Skating, and more experiences.
Wim’s Puppet Theatre is a Lakewood Holiday tradition going on its 8th year this season. Wim Griffith is a professional sculptor, performer, and Christmas aficionados who hosts a free puppet show consisting of beautifully made marionettes performing Christmas songs in front of his home each night throughout the Holiday season. Bring a blanket and catch the show at 7pm nearly every night (probably not when it’s raining) at the corner of Country Club Drive and Fairway Drive in Lakewood until the 23rd.
