Join LB Littles as we kick off No Bummer Summer with a free family-friendly adventure and outdoor themed family event: Camp Littles!

What to Expect

Expect a day of outdoor fun complete with hands-on play, tug-of-war contests, earning merit badges, great food, and tons and tons of activities from your favorite kid-friendly local businesses.

Book Summer Activities

All of your favorite kid-friendly businesses will be on hand, so if you're still looking for Summer camps and activities for your kiddos, there's no better opportunity.

Earn Merit Badges

Throughout the event kids will have a chance to earn merit badges in everything from STEM to Outdoor Play, while parents get to earn Parent Badges right alongside them ("Survived a Meltdown" merit badge, anyone?)

How to Get There

Golden Grove Area - El Dorado Park East
Enter El Dorado Park East from the main Spring Street entrance (please note, parking is $7).
Drive all the way through the park (we mean all the way through.... it's a big park) follow signs for Golden Grove Area and event signs you'll see along the way. Parking will be right next to the event area.

What to expect

Outdoor Play

Rock climbing and bounce houses and (foam) axe throwing. We’ll have it all!

Not to mention tug-of-war, three-legged races and more!

Food

We’ll have several food trucks on hand and coffee from from Carmen’s Coffee Truck. All of the trucks take credit cards, so no cash required there.

A Summer Kickoff in the Park

While there is a lot happening at this event, feel free to bring a blanket or a wagon and treat it like a fun day in the park with all the added activities as a bonus.

FAQs

How much does it cost?

It’s a free event for the whole family, though we do request that you RSVP through this page. Parking is $7 per vehicle.

Where do I park?

Follow the signs. Details above.

What can I bring?

Do bring: Bikes (there will be a bike valet) Water. Strollers. Blankets for sitting on the ground. Sunblock.  

Please do not bring: Pets. Ice chests. Drones. 

Can I bring snacks?

We’re parents too. We get it. those kids are snacking machines. You can certainly bring snacks, but we ask that you not pack a full meal since there will be food vendors on site as well.

Will there be more events?

Do I need cash? 

Definitely for parking, as it’s cash only. Otherwise most things at the event are free, food will need to be paid for but that is good for cash or card.

Can we leave and come back?

Sure. We know there’s nap time and all sorts of reasons why this might happen. Not a problem.

Camp Littles is produced by LB Littles, which was created to give parents a directory of all things they need to know for raising kids in and around Long Beach, and co-presented by Councilwoman Stacy Mungo
